PTE – Polymer-Technik Elbe GmbH
The company is proud to look back on more than 125 years in the rubber compounding industry. In the meantime Polymer-Technik Elbe GmbH has developed into one of the world’s leading manufacturers of rubber compounds.
The success story began in 1898 with the founding of Gummiwerk Elbe AG in Wittenberg. In 1972, the central mixing unit was constructed, the heart of today’s company.
Following this tradition Polymer-Technik Elbe GmbH began its business as a custom compounder on January 1st, 1993 and since then has continued doing so with determination and success.
In 2007, PTE successfully promoted the international expansion with the construction and launch of Wuxi Elbe Polymer Technology Co., Ltd. in China.
In order to meet the increasing enquiries and demands in Europe three further production lines were gradually installed between 2011 and 2018 at the headquarters in the Lutherstadt Wittenberg.
PTE supplemented its global activities in 2016 with the founding of PTE Compounding de Mexico S.A. de C.V. and since then served international and local customers in the Americas as well.
In 2018, Polymer-Technik Elbe GmbH celebrated its 25th anniversary.
In the same year a new line with roller-head extruder was installed and implemented. This state-of-the-art technology enables the highly efficient production of large volumes.
